The town of Lake Cowichan is a stepping stone to some absolutely amazing camping and hiking destinations on Vancouver Island. Surrounding communities such as Mesachie Lake, Skutz Falls, Honeymoon Bay, and Youbou are in close proximity. Cowichan Lake is one of the largest fresh-water lakes on the island. The south end of the lake commonly reaches tempertatures of 24 degrees celsius or 78 degrees farenheit.
